2023 Hajj: Osun Pilgrims Welfare Board set for a hitch-free exercise

•Fixes March 31st as deadline for the payment of an initial deposit

Osun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the official registration of intending Pilgrims for the year 2023 holy pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Administrative Secretary of the Board, Mr Bolaji Sanni stated this in his office during an interactive session with journalists while unfolding series of arrangements being currently put in place by the board to make this year’s hajj a hitch free one.

The board secretary expressed strong conviction that the 2023 hajj exercise would be a success as Osun state government through the state pilgrims welfare board is not leaving any stone unturned to make the pilgrimage to the holy lands of Makkah and Madina an accomplished and worthy exercise.

Mr Bolaji, who also appreciated the love and support of the present administration under the leadership of Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adekeke advised the intending Pilgrims from Osun to pay the sum of 3,000,00,00( Three million Naira ) in the first instance as initial deposit on or before the 31st of March 2023 pending the release of the final official Hajj fare by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

He similarly disclosed that the intending pilgrims should take advantage of the on going sales of forms at the Office of the Board, situated at the State Secretariat complex,in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.

The board secretary revealed that over the years, pilgrims from Osun always had the best of the annual religious exercise devoid of any apprehension and anxiety before,during and after the annual holy journey to the House of Allah.

Also at the brief but highly interactive media briefing, the Osun state Amirul -Hajj, Sheik ( Dr.) Morufu Ishola admonished all the Intending pilgrims to register in earnest as the Board has made adequate preparations ahead of the 2023 Hajj Operations for them before,during and after the faith based annual exercise.

Sheik Ishola thereafter appreciated Almighty Allah for the success of the 2022 Hajj Operations just as he also appreciated Osun State Government for its continued support to the Osun Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
