THE NEWS YOU NEED

THE Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has condoled with victims of a fire outbreak, which occurred at the popular Idiseke Market, Osogbo at the weekend. He described the incident as unfortunate.

The governor through a statement signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, appreciated the intervention of officials of the Osun State Fire Service for preventing further spread of the inferno across the market.

He said: “I sympathise with people affected by the fire incident. It is unfortunate to experience such at this critical time of global economic crisis. We blame political forces for attempting to politicise the issue to foment trouble and destabilise the state.

I urged the people of Osun State to take precautionary measures and put in place necessary apparatus to prevent a reoccurrence.
