The President of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, Adesina Adedayo, has charged tax professionals to play a more strategic role in developing the tax profession.
He said this during the institute’s annual dinner and awards ceremony held on November 25, 2022, in Lagos.
The CITN President in his opening remarks said, “The annual event is aimed at bringing tax professionals and other stakeholders together in an informal setting to wrap up on the institute’s activities in the course of the year, celebrate its successes, learn from its downturns and demonstrate professional love by dining together.”
He lauded the strategic role members of the institute have been playing in developing the tax profession which beyond opinion, has become the ‘Hope of the Nation’.
Adedayo added, “Despite the economic downturn, high inflation rate and dwindling oil prices in the international market, the institute has recorded appreciable growth. Through your support, we were able to achieve remarkable feats during this presidential year.
“I enjoin you to stay up to date with the institute’s magazine to remain informed about the activities and achievements so far in this presidential year.” CONTINUE READING……………………..
