Kidnappers of ex- Akeredolu aide demand N100m ransom

Kidnappers have demanded N100m ransom for the release of a former aide to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Mr. Richard Omosehin.

Omosehin was kidnapped on Saturday by gunmen who stormed his residence at Igbekebo, headquarters of Ese Odo Local Government Area.

Sources said the kidnappers arrived community on a speed boat and went to the residence of the victim from where he was dragged into the boat and they sped off.

“The incident happened at about 2am on Saturday. People invited the police but by the time the policemen arrived at the place the kidnappers have taken the man away. ”

Monarch of Igbekebo town, Oba Simon Dabo, who spoke in a radio programme, said the victim was allowed to call his wife from of the den of the kidnappers and said his abductors were demanding N100million for his release.

Spokesman for the Ondo Police, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, said efforts were ongoing to set the victim free unhurt.

“We are already making efforts to rescue the victim and investigation had begun.”
