The Ondo State Police Command on Wednesday said it had commenced investigation into the alleged attack on a hospital in Ondo Town, Ondo State by some hoodlums.
The hoodlums were said to have attacked Ileri Oluwa House of Hope Hospital and carted away the equipment worth millions of naira in the ancient town on Sunday.
The founder of the hospital, Hakeem Oyeneyin, said the incident happened on Sunday night, describing it as disheartening.
He explained that the attacker entered through the hospital roof and window. He noted that the hospital will be shut down pending the time the community will assure 100 per cent safety of lives and properties.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, said the command had commenced investigation into the incident.
“It was a case of burglary and we have commenced investigation into it,” the PPRO said.
