LG Elections: Drama as “Yes Or No” Emerged On Osun Ballot Papers

There was a mild drama on Saturday, October 15 during the local government and local council development authority elections conducted by the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, OSIEC, as “Yes or No” was sighted on the ballot papers.

Our correspondent who moved round some polling units in Osogbo LGA Osogbo West LCDA and Osogbo, visited polling unit 7 ward 4 of Ataoja, Osogbo Local Government, observed that most of the polling units recorded a low turnout and have no voters at the time of visits this morning.

Voice Air Media correspondent witnessed a massive turnout of voters at a polling unit in Sekona, Irepodun LG, Erin-Osun area of the state.

Speaking with this Newspaper, OSIEC official said the Election opens by 8 am and ends by 2 pm but anyone left in the queue after the closing period can still vote.

Voice Air Media learned that the All Progressives Congress, APC is the only Political Party contesting in the poll.
