94

Former Ogun State Governor, Olusegun Osoba, and traditional rulers, including Alayeluwa Oba Rotimi Oluseye Mulero of Ibese, have hailed a real estate firm, Pelican Valley Nigeria Ltd, for its initiative to transform the agrarian Massa community in Kobape axis of the state.

The real estate firm transformed the area with its two-pronged projects namely, Pelican’s Ecostay Smart Apartments and Pelican’s Greenish Acres Farm Estate.

Osoba, whose administration was pivotal in connecting the community to the national power grid with a 33KV electricity line over two decades ago, said Ecostay apartments and Greenish Acres Farm Estate would further enhance the socio-economic status of the area.

He said the projects would create income and employment for many as well as complement the government’s efforts at addressing food security and housing needs of Nigerians.

He spoke at the Pelican Brief Estate, Massa, Kobape during the formal inauguration of Ecostay apartments and Pelican Greenish Acres Farm Estate on Sunday.

The former governor was represented by a former federal lawmaker and past Secretary of Nigeria Bar Association, Abeokuta branch, Adekunle Adeyemi.

The Ecostay apartments which are domiciled inside Pelican Brief Estate are developed to promote luxury, while the Greenish Acre is a vast expanse of arable and fertile land for farming activities.

According to the firm, the project is a deliberate move to ignite the socio-economic activities of not only the estate but the Kobape community and Ogun State at large.

The layout of the project is planned to accommodate a skid gas station, recreation centres, purpose-built lounge, restaurant, and club, while the buildings to be constructed there will be used as short-let apartments for tourists and visitors.

“This will enable landlords in the estate to also get rental incomes,” the firm said.

During construction, the estate will deploy special materials to protect and preserve the environment.

Also, the estate will construct and sell duplexes, three bedrooms, two bedrooms, and studio apartments as parts of the package.

Also, the Agburo of industrial Ibese land in Yewa South Local Government Area of the state, Oba Rotimi Mulero, the Olokojobi 111, lauded the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Dr Babatunde Adeyemo, for his vision and the zeal with which he had pursued the project.
