SAD! Three students of Ojukwu Varsity found dead in their lodge

Three students of the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Igbariam Campus, Anambra State, have been found dead in their hostel.

The deceased students were identified as Obidiaso Chidera, a 200-level political science student, Mercy, a pharmacy student, and Emmanuella, a Business Administration student.

A witness said the bodies of the three students were found after some students who had not seen them went to their lodge to check.

Several knocks on the door were not answered, so the students decided to forcefully break the door after which they found two lifeless bodies on the beds in the room while the third lifeless body was found in the kitchen.

In a statement, Harrison Madubueze, the school’s Public Relations Officer confirmed the incident but expressed shock that some students were still in their hostels despite the fact the school had closed since August.

Madubueze said security operatives are investigating the matter and the outcome will be made public.

The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Dr. Harrison Madubueze, said the institution received the report of the incident with rude shock.

In a statement, Madubueze said, “The university management received with rude shock the news of the death of three of its students. At the moment, the date, time and manner of their death are still uncertain.

“However, the security operatives are investigating the matter and at the appropriate time, they will make the findings public.”

“This is because the institution closed on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, after the second-semester examination and will resume on October 1st, 2022.” CONTINUE READING..
