VR Fighter (2021): Movie Review

Plot: After his wife’s death professional bodyguard Lung Wei went overseas to find doctors for his daughter, but instead found a new job as a virtual reality tester.

Review: According to the plot, Siu-Wong is a special forces team leader headquartered in the United States who was tasked with guarding a western businessman.

The performance fails, resulting in the death of his entire team, Bomb explosion of which took his wife, and saw his daughter hospitalized due to the formation of a blood clot in her brain.

A glimmer of hope appears for him after he protects a scientist from a particularly boisterous patron in a bar.

She determines he’s the ideal candidate to test a mechanical exo skeleton that the company she works for has produced, which has been designed for intense combat circumstances after witnessing his martial arts prowess, despite his clear PTSD and fury control issues.

He was first hesitant, but he agrees to take the virtual reality test after learning that the amount will cover his daughter’s medical expenses.

A lot of action breaks out in the middle of the test when armed terrorists attack the facility in an attempt to steal the information about the exo skeleton for themselves. Siu-Wong plays the classic role of the good guy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The opening ambush on Siu-Wong and his crew lasts for a satisfyingly long 10 minutes and is adequately gory, giving Siu-Wong the chance to take on many attackers in an attempt to flee.

Siu-Wong’s eventual escape onto a connecting bridge at the top of two towering skyscrapers.

FLOPS: The CGI effect is low budget and
the camera work is Rapid and chaotic.
