Gov Wike’s Director General Dumps PDP For APC

THE Director General of the Wike Solidarity Movement, Prince Sudor Nwiyor, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party for the All Progressives Congress.

The right hand man of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, announced his decision in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.

Nwiyor offered reasons for his decision.

He said: “My decision stems from the faulty regime in the PDP where those who have worked for the party are dumped and abandoned, while monies are given to newcomers to entice them to the party.

“The entire leaders in the 23 local government areas of the state have had no appointment, they have been asking what is in for them, I have not been able to proffer any answer.

“This informed my decision or move to the APC.

“I will collapse all the WSM structures to the APC.”

Wike has been at loggerheads with the leadership of the PDP following the outcome of the party’s presidential primaries for the 2023 elections, which he lost to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

He also lost out in the race for the vice presidency, with Abubakar picking the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, as his running mate. CONTINUE READING…
