2023: Parliament Assembly Drums Support for Hon. Abiye, Constitutes Committee For Akoko North East/West Election

Ahead of the 2023 general election, the leadership of Akoko Northeast/Northwest Parliament Assembly, on Friday drummed support for the aspiration of Hon Abiye Ademoyegun for Member House of Representatives, saying “the woman will performe beyond expectations.”if giving opportunity to represent the good people of Akoko North federal constituency.

In a statement signed by Amb Idowu, the executives of the organisation said the endorsement became necessary to appreciate Abiye dedication and hard work in the politics of Ondo state in general.

The executives further said the endorsement is also to encourage her to work towards the development and productive representation like never before.

Speaking on behalf of the executives, the Coordinator of the group, Amb Idowu, said Hon Abiye should be consider as first and only female aspirant aspiring for MHR, she is able, capable, energetic, educated and resourceful.

According to him, those who are planning to contest against her are wasting their time and resources, saying there was no need for heating up the polity, they should support her willingly, we are in women 0 clock.

“We have not done this for any aspirants before. These are the executives. We have set up a committee to work for the actualization of Hon Abiye’s dream to represent us in Abuja by God’s grace”

“We still stand on rotation agreement between the North east and North west, with all sincerity this is the turn of AKOKO NORTH EAST,” he said.

Also speaking, the PRO, Amb Dare said executives across the towns in our LG have taken time to listen to the development plans of Hon Abiye.

Also speaking on behalf of his fellow executives in the special duty he said they resolve to support Abiye as MHR is well-thought-out in the interest of the people of his people and the Local government in general.

“On this note the executives and the members of Akoko North east and North west Assembly hereby endorse Hon Abiye for MHR, we beseech the good people to consider her in the coming general election by February 2023,” the statement stated.

Abiye Ademoyegun, is a candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, set to unseat the current lawmaker representing Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency, and the candidate on the platform of All Progressives Congress(APC), Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
