Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose is not supporting the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar for president next year.
Â
The PDP stalwart is backing a Southern candidate to be president next year.
Â
Fayose tweeted on Wednesday that power must go to the south as the north had rule for two terms under President Muhammadu Buhari.
Â
He said what this implied was that power should move to the south next or nothing.
Â
âThe current President of Nigeria is a 2-term Northern Presidency, thus implying that it MUST be a Southern Presidency in 2023 or NOTHING. Awa âSouthâ lo kanâ. Nigerians should await details soon,â he tweeted.
Â
Fayose stated that the PDP constitution provided for rotational presidency, saying that section 3 (c) provided for zoning.
Â
He tweeted: âThe PDP Constitution provides for a rotational Presidency. Section 3(c) provides that the Party shall pursue its aims & objectives by âadhering to the policy of the rotation & zoning of Party & Public elective offices in pursuance of the principle of equity, justice and fairness.â
