A brilliant and young Nigerian man, Mopileola Tomi Adewumi has celebrated bagging a Degree in Medicine from the Oklahoma State University, United States after 14 consecutive years of studying.
Mopileola who celebrated his success in the United States rocked his native attire. He attended the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, South-West, Nigeria where he bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiology.
He thereafter moved to the United States to further his education. Mopileola enrolled for his Master’s Degree at the Oklahoma State University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States.
He went ahead to bag three Master’s Degrees in Biomedical Sciences (Pharmacology and Physiology), Health Care Administration/Management and Global Health Studies. Together with his Master’s Degrees, Mopileola enrolled to the Department of Osteopathic Medicine/Osteopathy.
He finally graduated as Medical Doctor after 14 straight years of studying from one course to the other. “14 years later (6years of undergrad in Nigeria, 2 years for Masters in Biomedical Sciences, 2 years for Masters in Healthcare Administration, 4 years of Medical School and a 3rd Masters in Global Health),” he wrote.
Mopileola expressed his gratitude, noting that he migrated to the United States despite knowing no one as was given the love and support needed to complete his study.
“As an immigrant who came into this country knowing absolutely no one, I am grateful for the opportunities, love and support given to me by everyone who has supported this journey,” he wrote.
He also revealed that he will be starting his residency program in Otolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery) at Baylor Scott & White Health at Washington Avenue, Dallas, Texas, United States.
