Orji Kalu Becomes First Igbo Man, Southerner To React After Reports Of Lawan Being APC Consensus Candidate Emerges

Senator Orji Kalu has congratulated Senate president Ahmad Lawan after reports of him emerging as the All Progressives Congress, APC consensus candidate emerged.
Recall that Naija News earlier reported that Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the national chairman of the party, made the announcement at the meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) on Monday June 6, in Abuja.

It was also reported that other aspirants including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Dr. Kayode Fayemi and David Umahi, among others will, however, be allowed to contest the primary at the convention holding at the Eagle Square, Abuja.

Reacting to the news, Orji Uzor Kalu took to his Facebook page to congratulate Lawan.

He wrote: “Big Congratulations to Ahmad Lawan.”

Meanwhile, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has rejected the idea of the emergence of Senate President Ahmad Lawan as the consensus presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
