Former Councillor of the Peoples Democratic Party Who represented Okwagbe Ward 18 in the past administration Hon. Mere Williams has Congratulated Hon. Solomon Awhinawhi winner of the Ughelli North, South and Udu federal Constituency PDP Rerun primaries held at Ughelli township Stadium on monday May 30th, 2022.
In a Congratulatory message, Hon. Mere Williams, noted that the peoples Democratic Party has spoken with one voice, urging all Party members and leaders to accept the outcome of the rerun election as it is the Party’s decision which is supreme.
Recall that the Peoples Democratic Party Primaries that was conducted last week was cancelled due to irregularities that marred the election after the Appeal Committee received petition and after their findings where they recommended to the National Working Committee(NWC) that the election be cancelled and following the cancellation, a rerun was conducted today May 30th, 2022.
The National Working Committee (NWC) Cancelled the initial primaries as a result of the decision taken by the appeal committee.
