The Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Wednesday grabbed the gubernatorial ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
VAM News reports that Makinde will now contest against the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties to grab a second term as Oyo State governor.
Makinde scored a total of 1,040 delegates votes to defeat his challenger, Mr Hazeem Gbolarunmi who had two votes at the PDP primary held at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
As announced by the returning officer, Ben Obi represented by Abdullahi MaiBasia, Makinde emerged as the PDP governorship candidate for Oyo State having polled the highest number of valid.
