Inside Life: Lover Kills Man For Dating Girlfriend In Ogun

The Police State Command in Ogun have arrested a jealous lover identified as Alamu Aperin who killed another man for allegedly dating his girlfriend in Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of the State.

The State CP, Lanre Bankole revealed this while addressing newsmen on Thursday.

He said the incident occurred on April 17.

Aperin was said to have accosted his victim, Joshua Alao and accused him of dating his girlfriend, Omolaso.

According to him, a fight ensued between Aperin and Alao, during which the deceased was stabbed on the right side of his chest.

Alao was reportedly rushed to a hospital, where. he eventually died.

It was gathered that one Benjamin Ojoloko reported the case at Imeko divisional headquarters, leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Ojoloko was quoted as saying that, “one Alamu Aperin Adekanbi accosted one Joshua Alao and accused him of dating his girlfriend, simply identified as Omolaso.

“Fight thereafter ensued between the duo, consequent upon which Alamu Aperin stabbed Joshua on the right side of his chest.”

He said, “the victim was rushed to the hospital but gave up the ghost while receiving treatment.
