JUST IN: Magnus Abe launches Rivers governorship bid, Tinubu’s campaign

Senator Magnus Abe of the All Progressives Congress has launched his bid for Rivers state governorship seat with a big rally in Okrika.

 

The bid comes days after the Rotimi Amaechi group said it has adopted Tonye Cole as consensus candidate.

 

There was a large crowd at the Okrika rally on Sunday, which was also used to launch the Bola Ahmed Tinubu campaign, under the canopy of BAT Vanguard.

 

The king of Okochiri, King Ateke and the Okochiri Council of Chiefs gave Sen. Abe their blessings.

 

 

“The massive turn-up of APC members in Okirika today is a testament to the fact that APC under Senator Abe is widely accepted”, said one of the people at the rally.

 

Another said the rally was a sign that Magnus Abe is ready to fight for the soul of Rivers State.
