Feelers emanating from the political camp of Dr.Akinade Aremu Ogunbiyi, a business Mogul, Philanthropist and a politician of repute in Osun State, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi have authoritatively revealed that he may soon take a major political step to achieve his mission and vision for a new Osun State.
Specifically, our reliable gist in hushed tones in political circles and top aides of the trail blazing entrepreneur tilt towards taking a pro-active decision on his engagement with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)which has now being engulfed with internal political strives and upheavals over a failed gubernatorial primary that has breeded and resulted in bitter acrimonies and political war of attrition with no end in sight.
Recall that Dr.Akin Ogunbiyi, a consumate business man who has ventured into politicking with the intention to rescue the state from the jaws of poor governance was compelled to pull out of the PDP Primary a day to the contest sensing massive planned rigging and a corruption of the entire PDP political hierarchy by one of the gubernatorial aspirants.
He announced his withdrawal from the contest over failure of the PDP National EXCOs to genuinely address myriads of complains and multiple Court’ judgements that heralded the controversial primary which finally snow- balled into a stalemate producing multiple candidates in the person of Dotun Babayemi and Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Following this development ,the politician is said to have been taking his time to consult and perfect his future plans.However a very reliable source who is a chieftain of PDP in the state has confided in our correspondent that Ogunbiyi is considering many options open before him before he made his final decision known to his supporters and entire residents of Osun State.
According to our source who revealed to us on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the information said the ‘IDERA DE’ proponent is consulting widely with high hiarachy and stakeholders at the grassroots before making his decision known to the public.
When our Correspondent asked which of the Political party would be considered lucky to adopt him, he simply said we should become patient until “when we get to the bridge.”
It would be recalled that Ogunbiyi withdrew from the Osun State PDP Primary election as a result of what he considered as bias towards a particular candidate and injustice against him by the leadership of the party including the National Chairman of the Party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu and other members of the National Executive Committee.
