Members of the House of Representatives, on Tuesday, rejected a bill for life pension for presiding officers of the National Assembly.
A total of 162 members voted for the bill, while 193 voted against. A total of 240 votes is required to pass the bill.
The presiding officers are the Senate President, Deputy Senate President, speaker of the House and the deputy speaker.
