Seyi Makinde, Oyo state governor, on Friday, ordered the release of N100m to settle some of the challenges facing the College of Education.
Makinde, who was on a visit to the Institution, gave the order.
He said: “N50m will be released immediately while the remaining 50 Million Naira will be granted in the middle of the year.”
He also appealed to the Staff of the Institution to call off its strike as issues raised will be adequately addressed.
The working visit of Governor Makinde was to ascertain level of development at the Oyo state college of Education, Lanlate, in Ibarapa East Local Government.
