Ile-Ife robbery: Ooni orders restrictions

Oba Ogunwusi, through Lowa Adimula of Ile-Ife, Abraham Adekola, told The Nation: “The restrictions order was arrived at after the kingmakers with other chiefs held a meeting today and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi who was not around endorsed the order.

“The Imperial Majesty, Oba Ogunwusi has ordered lockdown from 11 pm to 5am in Ife township from today. No vigil, night party, night prayers in all churches and mosques, etc.

“This is because the activities of robbers in Ile-Ife are on high which is causing sleepless nights among the residents.

“The police with the local securities are now in the community to ensure security. Anyone caught in within these hours will be treated as such. The restriction is till further notice.”
