2023 elections: Kunle Adeoti declares ambition, says APC has ruined Nigeria

It was a moment of joy at Imesi-Ile in Obokun local government today as hundreds of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members gathered to welcome their son, Kunle Adeoti, Chairman Eliride autos.

Addressing the mammoth crowd in their bi-monthly meeting, Kunle Adeoti, stated that PDP remains the only political party that doesn’t joke with the welfare of the masses and its members. “It’s undeniable fact that the ruling APC has bastardised the country. We know what was obtainable during the era of PDP both in Osun and Nigeria at large.”

Declaring his intention to contest for the House of Assembly in the 2023 general elections, Adeoti noted that his resolution to vie for this position was borne out of his love to make life more bearable for his people. He said: “I have been doing my little I could as an individual but if I have opportunity to be in government, the opportunities are limitless.”

Delivering his welcome address, the ward chairman, Sola Adeogba, expressed gratitude to Almighty God for sparing their lives to witness the first meeting in the new year.

The chairman charged members to redouble their efforts as they move gradually to election period. He said the party cannot afford to lose this time around. He noted “We all knew what happened in the last gubernatorial election, we won but it was rigged. But this time around, by the grace of God we are winning with a wide margin.”

In her own remark, Mrs Adeshina declared that the time to support their own son is now, she said: “We have sons and daughters who are doing fine both in the country and outside the country but that don’t come home to participate in politics. Now that Kunle Adeoti has come to declare to run of Osun House of Assembly, we must all support him. We have been supporting other people from other towns, the time to support our own is now.”

Speaking, Hon. Tope Ladesuyi, eulogised Kunle Adeoti for his mind of generosity and love towards his town, Imesi-Ile, as he admonished him to remain focused that he should not listen to rumor mongers and blackmailers. He that God will continue to protect him as he travels in and out of the country.

Among leaders present at the meeting are; Hon. Tope Ladesuyi, Hon. Dele Awoyinka, Hon. Oye Alegbeleye, Dcn Sunday Orimoguje, Pastor Oluwanifise, Hon. Toyin Adeshina, Mr Ayo Faluro, Hon. Peter Falana, Hon. Wale Omole, Hong. Kola Akinwumi, Mrs Idowu Omotosho and others.
