We’ll ensure Oyetola’s re-election – Osun West Senatorial Women

…say no other aspirant will be reckoned with

…as they pray for continued peace, continuity of APC govt in Osun

As the Osun governorship election draws nearer, women in Osun West Senatorial District have reiterated their commitment to the re-election of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola come July 16, 2020.

The concerned residents of the senatorial district disclosed that they would not support any aspirant from the district to contest against the Governor.

This is even as they prayed passionately for the success of Oyetola’s Administration and continued peace and progress of the state.

The Osun West Senatorial District womenfolk declared their total support and endorsement of Governor Oyetola’s candidature, during a special programme organised to pray for the progress of the State.

The event was attended by notable women of the Senatorial District where a resolution was made to support solely the candidature of Governor Oyetola.

Speaking at the occasion, the Commissioner for Human Resources and Capacity Building, Alhaja Lateefah Giwa, said all the women of the Senatorial had built a formidable force to ensure the re-election of Governor Oyetola.

Giwa who disclosed their readiness to begin a massive mobilisation for the Governor said no effort would be spared to deliver the Senatorial district for the party.

“We, the entire women of Osun West Senatorial District have once again spoken. We have decided to continue to give our unflinching support to Governor Oyetola and ensure his re-election in the next governorship election.

“We are here today to reiterate our commitment to the re-election bid of the Governor and to let the whole world know that we are not for any other aspirant except the incumbent Governor.

Mrs Sola Ogunfolaju, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Commerce and Cooperatives also said,

“We are not going to recognise any other person that comes out to contest. We are not saying they should not contest. Anybody can go and obtain the party’s form but what we, the entire women are saying is that we have collectively decided that the women population in the West Senatorial District are throwing our weight behind Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and will do everything to support his reelection.

“As you are all aware, the three federal constituencies in the Senatorial District had earlier endorsed the Governor for second term indicating that we are solidly behind him.

“The women here are from the ten Local Government Areas of the Senatorial District and we have prayed to God to continue to be with our Governor and his Administration”, she said.

Corroborating the statement, the Osun West Senatorial Women Leader, Hon. Funmilayo Adegbile, said the women were all out to support the re-election bid of the Governor.

Adegbile who described Governor Oyetola’s monumental achievements in the last three years as unprecedented noted that the time had come to reciprocate his good gestures with massive votes.

She urged the electorate in the state particularly the women folk to cast their votes for the ruling party come July 16, this year.
