The Peoples Democratic party, PDP in ward 02 (Ilode 1) Ife East LGA of Osun state, has denied the suspension of Professor Wale Ladipo from the Ward.
Recalled that Prof. Wale Ladipo was suspended by a group of people who have been working underneath for APC from his ward. But in a public notice released on Friday which was obtained by our correspondent with a title, “Reporting A Case Of Impersonation”, signed by the Chairman of Ilode ward 1, Prince Lawrence Omotosho, described the purported suspension as spurious, baseless and unfounded allegation by a group of persons being led by Adelebare Adewuyi.
Omotosho admonished these agents “to desist from action capable of breaching the peace in Ife East Local Government and entire Ifeland,” he said they should be mindful of the criminal content of their act of impersonation.
The ward Chairman explained that, “we are through this public notice notifying members of the general public to discountenance such falsehood.”
In a phone conversation with our correspondent, the ward chairman, Lawrence Omotosho, said “I can tell you categorically that those who announced the suspension of our leader are impersonators and we have already informed security agents. As I speak to you sir, Prof. Wale Oladipo remains our leader a member of PDP.”
It was gathered that those who announced the suspension of Prof. Wale Oladipo are said to be loyalists of Hon. Soji Adagunodo, the zonal chairman of the party, who are hellbent to make sure they destabilise the party so as to make give way for APC to win next year gubernatorial election in the state.
