4 Yahoo Boys Dump 20-year-old’s Body On Bridge

Police in Ogun State have arrested four internet fraudsters otherwise known as Yahoo Boys for allegedly killing one Alexander Uzoma and dumping his corpse under a bridge in Kuto area of the state

The suspects are Babatunde Owoseni, Azeez Oyebanji aka Biggy, Ayobami Adesina and Balogun Sulaiman.

They were arrested following a report lodged at Adigbe divisional headquarters by the mother of the 20-year-old victim, one Ogechi Alexander.

She reported that her son Alexander left home on the 20th of November 2021 that he was going to visit some of his friends whom she didn’t know and did not return.

The Police Public Relations Officer DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident to newsmen in a statement in Abeokuta, on Thursday

Oyeyemi said that upon the report the commissioner of police CP Lanre Bankole directed that the case be transferred to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.

He said that DSP Nurudeen AbdulGafar led the Modus Operandi Section and embarked on an intelligence and technical investigation which led to identification of one Babatunde Owoseni, as the person last seen with the victim.

The Police PRO explained further that Owoseni’s arrest led the police to the apprehension of other suspects who on interrogation confessed that they all took an unknown substance known as Colorado which caused the death of the victim.

He said that immediately they discovered that their friend was dead they decided to hire Uber car which they used to carry to corpse of the victim and threw it under the overhead bridge at Kuto

“On interrogation, they confessed that the victim came to their house to learn about internet fraud, and after eating food, they all took a substance known as Colorado which made them fall asleep.”

“They confessed further that when they woke up at about 8 pm, they found the victim on the ground already vomiting all over his body. When they tried to carry him, they discovered that he was no longer breathing.”

“At that point, Azeez Oyebanji aka Biggy from whom they bought the drug was invited, and he advised that they should throw the corpse away.

“It was then that Ayomide and Gafar arranged for Uber driver to come and when the driver came, Ayomide collected the vehicle from him and used it to carry the corpse to the top of Kuto overhead bridge where it was dumped”. he added.

Oyeyemi, however, hinted that the corpse was later removed by the state health workers and buried as an unknown corpse.

Preliminary investigation revealed that there was a mark of violence on the head of the deceased as shown in the picture taken by the health workers before it was buried.

Meanwhile, CP Bankole has ordered the investigating team to expedite action on the investigation and charge the case to court as soon as possible.
