Prince Dotun Babayemi was born in Gbongan on December 5, 1966 to the family of late Oba (Dr) Solomon and Ajoke Babayemi, was the immediate past Olufi of Gbongan in Ayedaade Local Government Area, State of Osun.
Prince Dotun Babayemi, a selfless leader and philanthropist, a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria since 1990, he practised as Barrister in Nigeria before relocating to the United Kingdom where he worked for 7 years with London Underground Limited leaving as a senior project manager. He as well relocated to the United States of America and had a 10 year career with AXA Financial Services PLC. (a fortune 100 company with USD20 Trillion under management) leaving as Vice President and Managing Director.
In 2007, Babayemi returned to Nigeria with his family and joined Celtel Nigeria Limited as Director of Strategy and thereafter as Group General Manager for Northern Nigeria. He left the organisation in 2009 to set up his group of companies with interests in security solutions, telecommunications and and other areas.
Having served meritoriously in several multinational organisations, Babayemi established his own company where he is the chief executive of Fort Knox Group with over twenty two thousand staff across the country.
He was once a card carrying member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), he participated in all the political activities that took place in all the nooks and crannies of Osun leading to the re-election of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in August 2014, sponsoring members of his senatorial district to the rallies and provided financial assistance at the ward, local and state government, federal constituency and senatorial levels. He fully managed the election control and command centre that led to re-election of the then party’s candidate presented then.
He is a man who loves justice and equity for all, based on this, he left the APC for the Action Democratic Party (ADP) with his thousands of supporters across the ten (10) Local Government Areas including Party Officers.
He’s now card carrying member of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) since more than two years ago.
He is married and blessed with children.
