2023 Poll: I’m ready to sacrifice personal interests, PDP must takeover – Gov Ortom vows

By Ochogwu Sunday

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has pledged that he will not mind to sacrifice any personal interest to ensure that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP takes over governance in Nigeria in 2023.

The Governor spoke Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at the day-two retreat of the ‘PDP National Retreat 2021’ tagged, ‘It’s Time to Rescue and Build Nigeria’ holding at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja.

In his own words, “the PDP must not hide away from, saying the truth as we work towards 2023 to reclaim our position in the politics of this country so that together, we can rescue and rebuild. This is the only thing that will give us victory. For me, I am ready to concede anything that is personal to me to ensure that the PDP dislodges APC in 2023 because of the level of decay we have witnessed in Nigeria under this APC-led Federal Government.”

He decried the level of injustice that is being visited on other parts of the country, stressing that “justice, fairness and equity must be served on all Nigerians, no matter where they come from.”

Governor Ortom who expressed worry over the degeneration of security in the country with rising insecurity arising from constant attacks on communities by terrorists, blamed the All Progressives Congress, APC for their inept leadership, pointing out that it is now clear that the PDP has the opportunity to win in 2023.

He called on all members of the party to come together to work selflessly for the victory of the party in 2023 to rebuild the nation from the ruins wrecked on the nation by the APC.
