Just In: Osun PDP nominates Adagunodo to Occupy Southwest VC

The Osun State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party has nominated the former State Chairman of the party, Hon. Olasoji Adagunodo as the Deputy National Chairman the party in the South West.

Adagunodo will occupy the seat vacated by the Deputy National Chairman (South), Ambassador Taofeeq Arapaja.

The nomination was contained addressed to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, a copy of which was obtained by VAM News in Osun state capital on Thursday.

The decision to nominate Adagunodo was reached after an extensive meeting of Elders/Leaders of the party held at the residence of former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola on Thursday.

The letter read in part, “The State Executive Committee of Osun State Chapter of our great Party PDP wish to convey the Nominations of Hon Olasoji Adagunodo as a replacement to the position of National Vice Chairman ( Southwest zone) which was vacated by Ambasador Taofeek Arapaja after concurrent approval of the Leaders/Elder caucus in a meeting attended at the Residence of His Excellency, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola by the following BoT members and other leaders.

However the meeting also agreed on total withdrawal of all Court Cases bordering on the leadership of the Party. Suffice that with this development all disputes on Osun State Chapter leadership has been resolved amicably and the party united as one big family.

We have seriously considered and put the progress of Osun State Chapter of PDP into consideration and taking into cognizance, the fact that we have election in the next few months and also that we have a new wave of peace by bringing everybody together and by making sure that the crises that have been bedeviling the Osun State chapter of PDP in the last three years come to an end.”

Present at the meeting are; Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, Sen. Dr Olu Alabi, Erelu Olusola Obada, Prof. Wale Ladipo, High Chief Dele Faseru, High Cheif Bayo Ajeigbe and Senator Francis Ade Fadahunsi (Virtually).

The letter was signed by Oyinlola, Oyedokun, Fadahunsi and Hon Sunday Bisi.
