Kano: Five Killed, Two Injured In A Road Crash

At least five persons were killed and two more were injured in a road accident near kwanar Dumawa in Kano State’s Mijibir Local Government Area, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps.

 

 

Zubairu Mato, the FRSC Area Commander, confirmed the incident to reporters. He said the incident happened Thursday night at Kwanar Dumawa between a volkswagen golf and a tricycle.

 

He said the accident occurred as a result of over-speeding when the passengers were on their way to their villages.

 

 

He stated that after getting the report, his men raced to the location and transported the casualties to Danbatta and Munjibir hospitals, where five were pronounced dead by medical personnel.

 

 

Mato explained that those who lost their lives included four males and one female with two others injured.

 

He said those who lost their lives were handed over to their relatives while the injured are responding to treatments.
