Omo-Onile: If you are disturbed on construction site call us – Osun Police Tell Residents

The Osun State Police has vowed to deal ruthlessly with hoodlums across the state parading themselves as Omo-Onile.

This was made known by the Osun Police Command Pubic Relations Officer, DSP Yemisi Opalola while featuring on Radio live programme in Osogbo on Wednesday.

VAM News understands that the high level of impunity which Omo-Oniles display at nooks and crannies of the state has become a worrisome situation to people planning to build houses and factories.

The Osun Police Command Pubic Relations Officer, said she was once a victim of the illegal activities of Omo-Oniles in Osun who go around developing sites to demand for huge money from land owners after all payments have been done to purchase the land must be stopped.

She further said that the Omo-Oniles are so confident of themselves that they even disturb construction on government owned lands.

Speaking on the Osun police command plan to rescue Osun people from unwanted activities of Omo-Onile, the Osun police spokesperson said they have set up special unit which will be dealing with issues relating to Omo-Onile.

She, however, urged the public to call her number (0806 778 8119) in order to report any Omo-onile who disturb them on construction site, saying Osun police is ready to rescue them from all forms of harassment and extortion.
