The Economic and Financial Commission, EFCC, has made clarifications on the health status of its Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa.
DAILY POST had reported that Bawa, on Thursday reportedly collapsed while delivering a speech at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Bawa had reportedly stopped speaking suddenly while giving a goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration at the villa.
He was later assisted to his seat by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami, and other senior officials at the event and later taken away to a hospital.
However, EFFC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren in a statement released after the incident said his boss is hale and hearty.
”This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell and had to return to his seat, Uwajeren said.
”He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk,” he said.
