One person has reportedly died following a violent fight at a popular drinking joint in Ifon town, Orolu local government area of Osun State.
DAILY POST gathered that the fight which occurred late on Sunday night involved one Safu and another yet to be identified resident of Ifon around the Janta area of the town.
DAILY POST learned that during the fight, the deceased was stabbed by Safu and he bled to death.
The situation later led to a breakdown of law and order within the town.
In a protest, the corpse was laid on the road by some youths in the area who also set up bonfires on the main road.
The protest which erupted Monday morning was quickly doused by the combined efforts of men of the Osun State Command of the Nigerian Police and operatives of Amotekun.
As at the time of filing this report, peace has returned to the area.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Osun Command, Yemisi Opalola has confirmed the incident and assured that peace has returned to the area.
