Management Crisis: Pastor E.A Adeboye Sells Off Helicopter

The helicopter bought by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye with registration marking 5NEAA (Enoch Adejare Adeboye) as reported by Church Gist in September 2020 has been sold.

Church Gist reports that after the helicopter was purchased, the managers of the aircraft charged $50,000 monthly for Nav charges apart from other charges cumulatively costing about $300,000 every single month.

Pastor Adeboye was displeased with this and thus got rid of the helicopter. Church Gist tried to find out if Daddy G.O intends to get another one but did not get an affirmative response.

The 79 year old G.O has now resorted to using the Bishop David Oyedepo owned helicopter whenever he goes on his regular mission visits and that remains the position for now.

We recall that Pastor Enoch Adeboye had stated in 1981 as a 39 year old leader of the RCCG that the Church intended to plant Churches within 3 minutes driving distance in the developed world and 5 minutes walking distance in the developing world.

This has led the Church to grow from 38 Churches when he stepped into office to over 40,000 Churches in the last 39 years and as old age finally arrives, the easy and sensible way to spearhead the continuing expansion is to the make use of an easy mode of transport to access the hinterlands, thus the purchase of the helicopter.
