Akure: Pharmacy exempted as markets, shops close for another festival

DEJI APPROVES OPENING OF PHARMACEUTICAL SHOPS DURING AMOLE FESTIVAL

In line with the directives for the closure of markets, stalls and shops in Akure and its environ on Thursday 19th August and Saturday 4th September, 2021

2. His Majesty, the Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II have graciously approved the opening of PHARMACEUTICAL SHOPS during the Amole festival holding tomorrow. The opening became necessary due to the current health realities and prevailing delta variant of the covid-19 pandemic.

3. It is therefore imperative to clarify that only PHARMACY shops will be allowed to open as this does not apply to PATENT MEDICINE STORES.

4. The Palace wish to once again inform all residents that NO trading or opening of shops under any guise will be allowed except for the category mentioned above.

5. We equally wish to reemphasize that the festival will not in anyway restrict both human and vehicular movement.
