Yahoo Yahoo Connection with Hushpuppi: Police Service Commission awaits Abba Kyari’s report

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has set up an in-house panel to study documents related to the suspended former Head of Intelligence Response Team (IRT) Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari indicted by a report of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States.

The Panel is expected to examine the facts of the allegations as contained in the FBI indictment and look at the extant rules as a means of keeping abreast of the matter pending the submission of the report by the Police Investigative Panel.

The panel is headed by Tijani Mohammed, Director, Department of Police Discipline in the Commission.

Kyari got into trouble after a US court issued a warrant for his arrest over his alleged involvement in a $1.1m internet fraud allegedly perpetrated by Instagram influencer Abbas Ramon, popularly known as Hushpuppi and four others, AbdulRahman Juma; Vincent Kelly Chibuzo (Kelly); Rukayat Motunrayo Fashola; and Bolatito Agbabiaka.
