Students Lament Fraudulent Act Perpetrated By Institution Portal Programmer In Ekiti Varsity

In a statement made available to VAM News, a group of student at Ekiti State Unversity decries the fraudulent act perpetrated by the institution portal programmer as majority of the students had their school fee diverted into the personal account of the portal programmer. Read below the full statement as released by the students.

We relay our warm greetings to you from the fountain of knowledge and abode of wisdom.

We are the set of students who were affected by the jiggery-poker of Mr Mayowa the EKSU portal programmer who has duped more than five hundred students of EKSU (including those that were on industrial training then) of their school fees(2018/2019) session.

Mr Mayowa the EKSU portal programmer has used is power in the computer operation to dupe many of us of our school fees by diverting the fees into his own personal account.

Many of us were directed to Mr Olasunkani Gabriel (a.k.a. S.K) for payment of school fees by Mr.Mayowa the Eksu portal programmer and on getting to S.K he apparently made the payment and gave us ostensible evidence of payment not knowing that it was a fake receipt but thanks to the school management who initiated a finical investigatory exercise called revalidation exercise.

And it was during this revalidation exercise that we student and the management of EKSU discover that the receipt given to us by Mr Mayowa Sunday was fake.

It was through the revalidation exercise that we got to know that our school fee were not remitted into the designed account but were diverted into another account , after been told that the school fees has been authenticated and remitted into the appropriate account.

Now we are made to know that we have to repay the money. This actually put us and our parents in a state of sadonicity.

This is therefore to beseech and plead to you, the public, the stakeholders of Ekiti state, number 1 citizen of Ekiti and school authority, with contrite heart and soul of penitence to help on this issue because we can’t afford to pay such huge amount again.

Sir, we are your children, we know that our welfarism has been your priority and you have been taking viable that are tantamount to our wellbeing prior to this moment.

On this note, we call on you sir, to come to our aids. Save our lives and souls.
