Angry Mob Set Suspected Thief Ablaze In Delta

Angry mob set a suspected thief ablaze at the Cinema Site along Okumagba Avenue in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to DAILY POST, the deceased was alleged to have burgled into the shops of traders when he was caught, beaten to stupor and set ablaze on Saturday.

At the time of filing this report, the remains of the deceased thief are still lying fallow along the road.

A resident of the area who pleaded anonymity, said the deceased suspected thief and other members of his criminal gang have been terrorizing the area after he packed out from the layout.

“The thief has been worrying the area for long. He packed and was operating from outside with his gang. If you on your generator down, by 10pm in the night, they will just come and move it. You will not see your generator again. They break into peoples houses and rob them,” the resident said.

The Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the incident.
