Eid al-Adha: Beneficiaries Of Osun Free Train Service Commend Oyetola, Say It’s Great Relief

The beneficiaries of the Eid al-Adha 2021 free train ride, have lauded the Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola for the adequate security measures that is put in place during their journey from Lagos state to Osun.

The administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola had successfully sustained the free train service as part of efforts to provide succour for the citizens who resides outside the state during festive periods, particularly, holidaymakers that wished to celebrate the festivities with their loved ones.

Addressing Journalists shortly after they alighted from the train at the Osogbo Terminal of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, some of the beneficiaries lauded the government for sustaining the gesture and providing maximum security of lives and properties.

One of the beneficiaries; Mrs. Morufat appreciated Governor Alhaji Oyetola for the free ride and the provision for security.

“The security was very tight in the training, no smoking, no drinking of alcohol and also the security were patrolling in the train, telling us that if we notice anything we should complain to them”.

Another beneficiary, Olawuyi Abiola lauded Gov. Gboyega Oyetola for the free train service.

” I thank Mr Governor for taking the welfare of the people as part of his top priority because it is a great relief for the citizens, we didn’t pay a dime for the journey, It was free”, Abiola said.

Also, Alhaji Oseni Biyawo was one of the beneficiaries too. He thanked the governor and prayed to God to make him win next election.

Also, Usman Abdulazeez too was one of the beneficiaries, he commended Gov. Oyetola for judiciously managing the economy of the state.

The Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Empowerment, Dr. Bode Henry Olanipekun, was also present at the Osogbo terminal to welcome the beneficiaries to the state.

When he was addressing the press, He thanked God for the smooth journey of the beneficiaries from Lagos to Osun and stated that “the free train will still work on Monday too, another set of beneficiaries will board it from Lagos to Osogbo terminal to come and celebrate Ileya Festival with their family, friends and loved ones.

Olanipekun said the train shall return the beneficiaries to Lagos on Sunday 25th of this month.

“The security arrangements that was put in place did not just start this year. The security aspects has been included in the free train service since the emergence of banditry and kidnapping”.

Olanipekun further appreciate the train officials, security officers and the press crew that was present in the train to make sure that the free train service was successful. He advised the beneficiaries to obey the health personnel, security personnel, train operators and follow all the measures set in place to make the free train exercise successful.

To whom much is given much is expected. We expect that the good things that the government is doing should be reciprocated by being law abiding, support the Governor to be re-elected for second term, Olanipekun said.
