Students Decry Tuition Fees Hike Proposed By BOUESTI Management

VAM news has gathered that the management of Bamidele Olumilua University Of Education, Science And Technology, Ikere Ekiti has publicised the institution school fees upward review.

This was disclosed via a circular recently circulating on the social media, which was released on 8th July 2021. But the management meeting that led to the proposal was dated 24th May 2021.

Since the release of the circular, most of the students reacted negatively while speaking with VAM News on the condition of anonymity, complaining bitterly and showing their displeasure about the unnecessary and the baseless tuition fees upward imposed on them by institution.

“The reason for the Increment didn’t reflect in the circular, and because of the absence of reasons behind the proposal, the students termed the directives shown in the content of the circular as exploitative and mustn’t be allowed to become effective”

“This is a shocking development, that despite the current economic hardship that Nigeria is going through now, the Institution is not expected to be inconsiderate like that”, the students decried.

Therefore, the students call for the reversal of the directives.
