The immediate past President of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) worldwide, Pastor Abraham Akinosun, has retired from employ of the church.
He retired as the 7th President of the church after serving for eight years.
Officials from Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bible Society of Nigerian (BSN), Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) and other minsters were among dignitaries at the retirement and send-forth service at CAC General Secretariat, Ibadan.
His successor, Pastor Samuel Oladele, described Akinosun as the Lord’s general who served the church with his life.
He stated Akinosun’s efforts in uniting the church cannot be overemphasised.
According to him: “Pastor Akinosun is a gentle and committed man who has never for once compromised the work of God.”
Akinosun said it was a privilege for him to have served the church from the lowest rank to the highest.
“I’m happy to be alive to witness this occasion. Today is a remarkable day, my administration was confronted with serious and sensitive challenges but I overcome them. I never thought I could come alive from office.”
He however urged the church to support his successor and cooperate with the newly appointment officers to unite and move the church forward.
