Imposition Of Undertaking Is A Declaration Of War – Says NANS President, Rejects KASU’s Action Against Protest

VAM news has gathered that the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has opposed the undertaking mandated on parents and guardians of Kaduna State University students by the Kaduna state government.

The opposition of the policy was disclosed in a statement released by NANS on today 25th June 2021, signed by the NANS president, Asefon Sunday Dayo.

The statement read:
We condemn in totality the letter of undertaking mandated by the management of the Kaduna State University and the Kaduna State government on the parents and guardians of Kaduna State University students to perpetually remain silent irrespective of the anti-students and anti-people policy imposed on them by the government and the university.

This is the height of tyranny. This is a declaration of War against all the freedom enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by people who sworn to protect it.

Tell the tyrant in Kaduna that Nigeria is no longer under military rule. This undertaken frosted on parents is not only laughable, it can only stand in the figment of the imaginations of tyrants who packed themselves in public offices in Kaduna.

Tell the Chancellor of Vices of the University, the Commander in Chief of Threats and the kidnapper of all descent voices in Kaduna that Nigerian Students are ready for total war. He should activate all his evil marchineries, we will ensure this will never stand.

I therefore call on the government of Kaduna and the Chancellor of Vices of KASU to be ready for mother of all action.

I also call on all students in Kaduna that this is just the beginning and it will be extended to all tertiary institutions if we don’t reject it and send the devil back to its enclave. Get ready, don’t die in silence, I will lead you from th front.

We must defend this democracy and any anti democratic policy will not be allowed to stand.

It’s a declaration of war against us, we will come to the war with all our armours(Legal Arsenals). They can kill us or kidnap us but we will not give in to this stupidity.

We have also directed our lawyers at the Law Corridor to file immediate process against this tyranny.

See you in Kaduna in a jiffy.

We are coming.

Asefon Sunday Dayo
Revolutionary NANS President.
