The Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello, has disclosed that he intends to formally declare his intention to contest in the 2023 presidential election.

The governor told Channels TV on Friday, May 14, that all Nigerians, including the youths and women, are asking him to run for president. He promised that his answer to their request will be affirmative.
Bello said: “And I believe it is high time that we look into capacity, who can do the job, who is going to unify this country. And I think they are seeing something in me that they are asking me to come and unite and fix this country.
“My answer will be in the affirmative in a few time from now.’’ Bello assured those supporting him for the presidency that he would not disappoint them.
